Mavrud ‘Vinica’ is our emblematic wine. Its specific and indisputable qualities are due to an approach borrowed from the wine-growers in North Italy but which is unknown and stranger in our land and is applied for the first time by the winery’s team. After the harvesting of wine grape (vintage), the mavrud is dried up at an open and dry place for two months thus achieving a natural concentration of sugars and acids. After eighteen months of aging in barrels made of Bulgarian oak, the result is an extract wine with a distinctive spicy aroma and balanced taste having a long aging potential.
